Learning she had breast cancer knocked Cuban-born Rosa Maria Ruiz for a loop.
“It was terrifying to hear that word – cancer,” says Rosa of learning about her diagnosis last September. “I was scared, but I knew I was in the best hands.”
Rosa had been referred to Dr. Jui-Lien “Lillian” Chou, Radiation Oncologist and breast cancer survivor, and The Breast Center at Wellness Lubbock. From there, Rosa says her care was quick, professional, gentle and backed by the latest technology and treatment options.
